Worship transitions

A few people are a little nervous about our worship transition...our post-Mike way of doing worship. Are we going to radically alter our style? Are we going to turn off the lights and turn up the volume and go to a Sanctuary-like style? Which way are things heading?

Things will change (they would've whether Mike stayed or not). The only constant around here is change. Will we radically alter our style? No. Will weekends become like Sanctuary? No. Which way are things heading? We have no idea...we've decided to make things up one weekend at a time. We'll see where God's Spirit leads us. By the way, that's what we've been trying to do around here for a long time. Seek God. Let Him lead.

I would ask the Crossroads family to do 3 things:
1. Pray for the transition time.
2. Trust the staff and leaders. In July I will have served at Crossroads for 14 years. You know my heart and leadership by now. Our Elder Team is solid and extremely committed. Our staff is amazing. We all have this church's best interest in mind.
3. Give our interim worship leaders some slack. Ryan Lunceford will serve as Interim Worship Pastor. Gwen Budish will assist him. Deborah Yost will coordinate all the details. Jordan Lindstedt will be our worship intern.

The transition begins this weekend as well as a new series called "Identity Theft". See you then.
