No Perfect People Allowed
I think it's safe to say that the phrase "no perfect people allowed" marks us as a church. It's more than a slogan or a sign at our doors. It (authenticity, grace, acceptance) has permeated this place.
The group that came in last weekend from MN Teen Challenge noticed it. Many commented that they had never been more warmly welcomed and embraced. They felt like they belonged...that there wasn't an "us vs. them" feeling at Crossroads.
Authenticity means we don't hide our humanity. We don't pretend we're something that we're not. We're all sinners...all in process...all under construction just like the roads in MN...all in pursuit of the Perfect One.
