Re-location Info Dump

Just a couple of quick updates on the land/building/re-location project:
  • The 35 acres on Hwy. 19/Keats are ours. We are in the process of making sure that we can get water and sewer to the property in a timely fashion before we write the big check for a million dollars.
  • The land is in a phase of development that isn't scheduled for water/sewer for 10+ more years. Since we can't wait that long we are working with the cities of Woodbury and C.G. to get water/sewer there earlier. It's quite a process. There are numerous "hoops". Please pray for God's favor!
  • The $$ from the Crazy Campaign continues to come in. Since November, we've received over $300,000 in cash. The Crossroads family pledged approximately 3.5 million over the next 3 years. That 3.5 million represents about 1/3 of the total cost of the re-location project.
  • Our architects are at work doing design work on the buildings. Everything will be built with great flexibility and with the ability to be expanded. We see several "phases" of buildings. Our first phase of buildings will have around 50,000 square feet of space.
  • Yes, we will get our youth back on campus in the first phase. No, we won't have a gym in the first round.
  • We currently don't have a serious buyer for our current facility. Once we get the water/sewer issues straightened out we'll market our building more aggressively. Without a buyer for our current facility, our plans would most likely get pushed back several years. We don't want to take on so much debt that we can't "breathe" and do ministry.
