Church transitions
As many of you know, our worship pastor Mike Gleason is leaving Crossroads after 7 years of ministry. Mike's a great guy and gifted worship leader. I'm going to miss him. The nature of his leaving is private in nature. The letter I wrote to the Crossroads family simply asked everyone to trust the mutual decision that has been made by our Elders and Mike. That hasn't sat well with everyone.
I understand the desire to want to know details. We all want specifics. We all want to have all our "why's" answered. The point I'm making is that sometimes the "why" is personal. Sometimes details aren't shared for very good reasons. Staff/personnel matters at Crossroads are Elder Board responsibilities. Things like performance reviews and setting salaries are not public in nature.
As hard as it is, there are times we have to trust our leaders and trust that God's Spirit is leading us. This is one of those moments...thanks for your trust.
