A Movement of Transformation
That's our theme this year at Crossroads. We want to birth a movement of transformation. That's why we launched Meal Groups across the board. To slow down. To create space for God to work in and through us. To force us all into the rhythms of Jesus--prayer, servanthood, eating and building community with friends, etc. We know we've hit the "get into a Meal Group message" hard (a little out of our norm), but we label this our "win" at Crossroads. It's how we measure progress. It's really, really important.
Is getting into a Meal Group the end all? Is that all that spiritual maturity is about? No. We also need a daily time one-on-one with God where we learn to "feed ourselves"...where we (like Jesus did) get away alone and listen to and connect with God through meditating on Scripture and prayer. This one-on-one daily time with God will be the topic of discussion in Meal Groups in January. We have an amazing book lined up to study.
For now...it's Chazown time in Meal Groups...catching God's vision for our lives. Enjoy.

Our trip to Willow Creek in Chicago has been great. You'll have to ask James Brown about my skills in Chicago rush hour traffic driving. Let's just say we got up close and personal with quite a number of the surrounding vehicles for about 30 straight minutes!
I'm glad we don't have that degree of traffic in the Twin Cities!
